Back story. I went on a trip to NYC with my mom and her friend a few weeks ago. My moms friend had just had her eyelashes done and I was obsessed. They looked flawless morning and night. My big thing was seeing them in the morning when her face was free of make-up, the eyelashes still looked amazing! It was as if she had permanent mascara on! I have dough eyes, which means that instead of going straight across (almond eyes) or up (cat eyes) they go downwards… think Katie Holmes.
This means that when I go make-up free I either look extremely exhausted, or somewhere in the age range of 5-10 years old (maybe that’s a little dramatic… but I’m always exaggerating). After coming back from NYC I decided to give this whole fake eyelash thing a shot. I went to the same place as my moms friend (information at the end of this post) but there are places nationally that can do this for you if you’re not in the greater Orlando area.
This is just a picture I snapped on my phone halfway through the process. The right eye is done with a full set of mink lashes, while the left eye is my natural lash with no make-up. The difference is CRAZY!!! I only put on 12-13 (the length is sorted by numbers) and I think they came out just right. They’re not too long but they are long enough to make a drastic change. The process could be a little uncomfortable for some, but it took less than an hour and I was out the door. They explain to you that you may experience some redness and swelling afterwards, but pop a benadryl and you’ll be good to go.
WAA LAA! This is the finished product. Please try to not be freaked out by how up close and personal this picture is, but I tried to get you the best look at my new luscious lashes. I have since worked out, slept, showered and everything in between and they still look amazing!!
