The Monday after a holiday weekend is always such a bummer. Luckily, I have so many fun things to look forward to in the next few weeks and hopefully that’ll help push me along. Next week I’m off to Palm Beach for a bloggers stay with two other Florida bloggers. Then, the following week I head up to Kentucky Derby, which will be my first ever horse race!! Shopping for the derby has been tough and then add on the fact that I need to buy hats or fascinators to match each look. During college I had an overload of preppy attire (that’s what happens when you go to a small liberal arts school in Florida) and then I ended up giving most of my pastels away after graduation. There aren’t as many occasions that call for Lilly Pulitzer in the real world.
This summer you’re going to see these two things everywhere you look, bodysuits and denim shorts. Bodysuits are such a easy look and you can find them super inexpensively- mine’s from Forever 21 for under $10. I’ve been seeing some really cute printed bodysuits that have sayings or fun summer patterns.
If you follow me on my IG stories then you saw my story a few weeks ago about finding my FAVORITE jean short brand at Marshall’s for 1/5 of the price. One Teaspoon makes the best fitting jean shorts I’ve ever worn. There’s a reason they can get away with charging $100 for a pair of shorts, the fit really is that good. I was so weary about buying my first pair, because believe me, I’m not a girl who pays full price for anything. I kid you not, I’ve worn these shorts so many times I’ve lost count… like 3-4 times a week. Tip: I order a size up so they fit a little looser, aka much more flattering.
