My college girl friends mean the world to me and nowadays it seems like we’re spread out across the country. I miss having them nearby and we try really hard to get together a few times a year, but in-between I like to stay connected. Yes, we use facetime and Instagram and all those technologies, but honestly nothing is more personal to me, than a hand written card. img_8906

Back in school my friends and I used to blast Taylor Swift while getting ready to head out to dinner, or whatever it was that we were getting into at that time. What better way to let them know I’m thinking about them than sending a card from the new Papyrus Taylor Swift collection! The collection features 44 hand crafted cards to celebrate most occasions, but most importantly friendship.

These cards are exclusive to Target and I’m telling you, I had the toughest time figuring out which cards to pick! There were too many adorable options to choose from.

Look for the Taylor Swift logo to find some of the cutest cards you’ll ever meet, in the card isle of Target. I finally settled on these two after LOTS of deliberation! I love this new collection inspired by Taylor Swift and I know my friends will too.

Here are some steps to help you stay close and connected to your gal pals:

  1. Schedules get busier as we get older so make sure to plan ahead with phone calls or face-times. If it’s on your calendar you can be prepared and set aside that time.
  2. Send little tokens to show them you care! I send my friends candy at halloween and little trinkets that represent inside jokes, to show them I’m thinking about them.
  3. Plan a weekend trip at least once a year. My college friends and I live miles and miles apart, but we always make it a point to do at least one girls weekend a year in one of our current towns. This November we will all be meeting up in Boston for a weekend full of shopping, exploring and catching up.
  4. Send hand written cards. This is an inexpensive option that goes a long way. Something is so special about receiving a card in the mail. People don’t do this as much today and it’s something I wish I did more often.
  5. Text through your favorite shows. Do you both watch the same show religiously? Plan to live text through the show and talk about how funny or how surprising that last scene was, each commercial break.

Sincerely, Madi.
